And then, in a blink of an eye, it is 60 years later, and I am reading my trusted MSM media, Covid has us in lockdowns, and I am having the same feeling that I need to look behind the curtain. My spider senses were telling me I am being lied to……. a lot. First, I found Independent Media then The Black Sheep. Ahhh Haaa…… it all makes sense now. And looks like Totto is going to make it back to Kansas.
Haha, I'm so glad you commented on this line because Jake and I went back and forth on whether the reference was clear! But that's exactly what it feels like and partly why that visual of the wizard behind the curtain is enduring.
There's always some minority of a population with a more finely tuned bullshit meter! Like Dorothy, they're the ones who bother to dig a little deeper and find out things aren't what they seem—both bad news, but also good news because it means things can potentially improve. The pandemic is definitely the most historic "curtain fall" moment I've lived through! Glad the virtual yellow brick road led you here 😊
